Come together for sitdown celebrations with everyone you love. Pizza Express has a kids’ menu of dough Balls, pizza, pasta or salad, a dessert, a Bambinoccino and Piccolo Activity Pack, all for £7.95 with special festive cocktails, Dough Balls in Blankets and more for grown-ups or for warming ramen, rice and noodles, gather together at wagamama.
Frankie & Benny’s have a special menu of two courses for £19.95 plus a kids’ menu filled with pancakes, pasta and pizza and Bread Meets Bread is a must-visit for crowd-pleasing burgers, raspoutine (house chips, fresh curds and house gravy topped with grated cheddar and chopped bacon), hot dogs and BBQ pulled pork. Plus, their kids menu for £8 has everything from cheese toasties to chicken bites.
Inspiring festive workshops at Hobbycraft

Winter Coat Exchange
The Leith Collective have launched their winter coat exchange and are inviting customers to donate any pre-loved coats in-store. The coat exchange offers free coats to those needing one this winter and gives clothes a new home preventing them from going to landfill. The Leith Collective has been hosting its coat exchange since 2022 with last year having an overwhelming response receiving 10,000 donations at its stores.
Do some relaxed late-night shopping
Fort Kinnaird will be open late for stocking fillers and Santa wishlists in the run-up to Christmas. (Tuesday 24th December, 5pm close; Boxing Day 6pm close; Friday 27th December 8pm close; New Year’s Eve 5pm close; New Year’s Day, 6pm close; Thursday January 2nd, 8pm close; Friday January 3rd, 8pm close. Weekends no change. Monday 6th January, normal hours resume.)
It’s super easy for families to get here. There are also plenty of free car parking spaces available with plenty of dedicated disabled and parent-and-child parking. If you’re travelling by bus, take Prentice Coaches 108 and 118 and Lothian 30, 400 (previously 18), 106 and 49. By train, you can go from Edinburgh Haymarket and Waverley stations to nearby Newcraighall station.
